TAKELEY PARISH COUNCIL CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER
The post is 30 hours per week and some evening attendance is required.
NALC Salary Benchmark Range LC2 SCP24-28 pro rata
Applications are invited for the vacancy of Clerk/RFO of Takeley Parish Council.
The Parish Council is seeking organised and committed applicants for this key role which is responsible for all day-to-day organisation and management of the Council’s administration, facilities and finances; acting as the executive officer and principal adviser.
The successful applicant will already possess the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) qualification or equivalent, or be working towards it, and have a sound understanding of local authority organisation and management. The applicant should live within easy reach of Takeley and ideally have a general knowledge of the local area.
Based in the Parish Council office in the newly refurbished community centre, the successful applicant will be required to attend at least 12 evening Council meetings a year, which are usually held on the 1st Wednesday of the month; and occasional ad-hoc meetings.
Takeley Parish Council is a member of the NEST Pension Scheme.
